Joined the ranks at Godolphin following a successful 3yo campaign for James Fanshawe, which had seen him finish second in both the Group 1 Eclipse Stakes at Sandown and the Juddmonte International at York; proved among the world's leading turf horses after his move, winning the Group 1 Singapore Cup at Kranji and then the Group 1 Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot a month later; failed to last home when upped to 1m4f in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and relished the return to 1m2f with a gutsy defeat of Hawk Wing in the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes next time; wasn't able to add to those victories for the remainder of that campaign, but performed admirably in both the Cox Plate in Australia and Hong Kong Cup at Sha Tin; took the Group 2 Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid al Maktoum Challenge (Rnd III) on his reappearance at five, and retired to take up stallion duties after a run in the 2003 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes; half-brother to 2,000 Guineas winner George Washington among other winners; seemed best at 1m2f and handled quick ground
