Outstanding son of Red Ransom; trained by Valfredo Valiani in Italy as a 3/4yo, finishing a nose second to Shirocco in the Group 1 Gran Premio del Jockey Club on final start at three; won his first start as a 4yo in Group 2 company during May, and enjoyed dual Group 1 success in the Gran Premio di Milano at San Siro (1m4f) and the Juddmonte International Stakes at York (1m2.5f) prior to finishing third in the Grade 1 Canadian International at Woodbine (1m4f) on his final start before joining Godolphin; returned as a 5yo with a 7l success in the Group 2 Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Challenge over 1m2f on dirt at Nad Al Sheba, and then the Group 1 Dubai World Cup over the same C&D three weeks later; went on to be a close second to Ouija Board in the Group 1 Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot, and filled the same position behind Hurricane Run in the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes back at Ascot in July; sadly, after showing abundant courage during his career, he died of a heart attack in September 2006
