This prolific son of Doyoun won the 1997 Group 1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains for Alain de Royer-Dupre; he joined Godolphin for his 4yo campaign and duly won the Group 2 Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh (May 1998); finished third in the Group 2 Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, before landing the Group 1 Eclipse Stakes the following month; further Grade 1 success followed in the Man O'War Stakes at Belmont Park but that 4yo campaign was merely a prelude to a glittering year as a 5yo in 1999, in which he added four more Group/Grade 1s to his profile, namely the Coronation Cup, the King George, the Irish Champion Stakes and finally the Breeders' Cup Turf at Gulfstream
