Masar Godolphin is an academic and experiential training programme operating under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It provides an opportunity for young equine enthusiasts to visit the home of horse racing (Newmarket, UK) and exposes them to Godolphin’s unrivalled professional training and expertise.
The course offers it’s UAE participants an opportunity to embrace their equestrian heritage with the aim of becoming the business leaders of the future. Nine Emirati men and women aged between 20-30 years of age, with the passion to follow in the footsteps of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will be selected for the course.
The programme will be delivered in Dubai, Newmarket (England) and Kildare (Ireland) from January 2019 through to October 2019. It begins in Dubai with an induction phase, before moving to the United Kingdom for formal study and riding lessons at The British Racing School. The central portion of the course follows, with trainees spending time embedded in Godolphin’s fast-paced UK operation. Once there, trainees will experience an insight into best practice in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses, and the management systems which support them. Finally, the programme is brought to a close with a graduation ceremony held in Dubai.
In tandem with the development of their equine knowledge and skills, trainees will be given the opportunity to visit some of the UK’s leading sporting and professional organisations in the pursuit of developing their leadership, management and teamwork skills. Attendance to the UK and Ireland’s historic race meetings ensures some busy weekends, but it offers trainees an exclusive opportunity to network with industry leaders.
