Brother to 1m-1m2f winner Wild Illusion (including 2yo/Group 1/Oaks second; RPR 116); distant third of four in 7f novice stakes at Newmarket in June 2020 but then finished closer up on next outing and came good at third time of asking when winning a 7f maiden at Sandown in August; followed up in Newbury conditions race in very fast time (1m, good) a month later; encouraging third in Group 3 Classic Trial at Sandown (10f) in April 2021 but a bit disappointing when a well-beaten fourth in 10f Listed race in cheekpieces at Chester in May; clear second in 1m3f Listed race at Goodwood next time (headgear removed) and posted smooth success in Group 3 Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket (13f) in July; disappointing under a penalty in Group 3 Gordon Stakes (12f) next time, finishing a well held sixth having failed to settle but bounced back to form when winning the Group 2 Great Voltigeur Stakes at York (1m4f) in August and followed up in good style in a valuable conditions race at Belmont Park (12f) in September; posted a career best when winning the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf on his next start at Del Mar (firm) in November; ran another cracker on first start of 2022, finishing second of fifteen in the Sheema Classic over 1m4f, beaten a neck; finished second again in Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes (12f) at Newmarket when next seen in April.; unlucky third in Grade 1 Man O'War Stakes in May 2022 (missed break, hit gate); got his career firmly back on track by winning Group 2 Princess of Wales's Close Brothers Stakes in July and now heads to Saratoga in August; needs a strong pace to aim at and prefers quick ground.
