Half-brother to winners Epaulette (6.7f/7f Group 1; RPR 121), Helmet (6f-1m inc 7f-1m Group 1; 118), Bullbars (7f Group 3; 114) and Pearls (6f-7f inc Group 2; 108); got up late to win 7f maiden handicap at Newcastle on debut in September 2022; good second in much better race at Randwick (7f) in October and followed that with close third in Group 2 (10f) at Moonee Valley but well held in the Victoria Derby after; started 2023 with close-up fourth in 7f Group 2 at Sandown in February and then won a 1m1f Group 2 at the same track; beaten a nose in Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (10f, front pair 3l clear of remainder) in March; unable to land a blow in Group 1 Australian Derby at Randwick (1m4f) in April; much better when second in Group 3 at Randwick (10f) later the same month; given a break after and returned with a handicap win at Rosehill in August over 7f; followed up in Group 2 over same trip at Randwick in September; close third in valuable conditions race over 6.5f at Randwick a month later (headed late); again caught at the post when beaten a head in similar race over 7.5f at Rosehill in November.
