Noverre won the Group 3 July Stakes and the Group 2 Champagne Stakes, and finished second in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes, when trained by David Loder as a 2yo; joined Saeed bin Suroor for the start of his 3yo campaign; beaten by stablemate Street Cry in the UAE 2000 Guineas in March 2001 before winning the Dubai Poule d'Essai des Poulains at Longchamp in May (later tested positive to the substance methylprednisolone, used in treating arthritis, and was disqualified); when next seen, Noverre was sent off favourite for the St James's Palace Stakes and was just caught late on by Black Minnaloushe; returned to winning ways next time when an impressive winner of the Group 1 Sussex Stakes, with Black Minnaloushe back in third; placed in seven more Group 1 races and was retired to Kildangan Stud, Ireland, for the 2003 season; sold to India in 2008 to stand at Sohna Stud
