Immersive aims to consolidate her status as North America’s leading two-year-old filly when she goes for back-to-back G1 victories in the Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland on Friday, 4 October.
Trained by Brad Cox, the Nyquist homebred steps up to an extended mile having powered home on a muddy track to take Saratoga’s Spinaway Stakes over seven furlongs at the end of August.
Immersive also impressed on a quicker surface at the New York track on her only other appearance, scoring by two lengths in a maiden in July.
Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “We are very excited to try to get back-to-back G1 wins for Immersive in our own sponsored Alcibiades on Friday. Brad has been very pleased with her training and breezes since her win in the Spinaway.
“She appears as if she will really enjoy the extra distance in the Alcibiades as her gallop out was really impressive at Saratoga. We are confident that she will run a big race, earning her ticket to the Breeders’ Cup and solidifying her position as the top two-year-old filly in the country.”
