ENTRIES NOW CLOSED FOR THE GODOLPHIN SEVEN STARS COMPETITION 2008
The Godolphin Seven Stars - the world's greatest free-to-enter online competition at www.godolphin.com - closed for entries at 23.59hrs (Dubai time) on Friday, 28th March.
Many thousands of people around the world have entered the Godolphin Seven Stars 2008 which is now in its ninth year.
There are some amazing cash prizes to be won - plus a business-class trip with Emirates Airline and five nights in a luxury Dubai hotel for the 2009 Dubai World Cup meeting.
This year’s game format follows the same procedure as 2007 where competitors select 14 Godolphin horses, seven of whom will be active at any one time.
Entrants can swap horses within their 14-horse stable during three designated "Swap Windows" in 2008. The first window opens at 00.00hrs on Sunday, 25th May, and closes at 23.59hrs on Saturday, 31st May. The second window opens 00.00hrs on Friday, 25th July, and closes at 23.59hrs on Thursday, 31st July, while the final swap stage commences at 00.00hrs on Wednesday, 24th September, and ends at 23.59hrs on Tuesday, 30th September (all times are Dubai time).
The seven active horses earn points according to their performances on racetracks around the world, while each of the other seven remains dormant until called upon.
In addition to the main competition, there are the four exciting Challenges. The entrant that accrues the highest number of points during each Challenge receives a cash prize of US$7,000. Points earned during each Challenge phase are not carried forward to the next Challenge but all points gained contribute to a running total that will determine the overall Seven Stars winners.
The first Challenge stage takes place from Saturday, 29th March to Saturday, 31st May, 2008. Challenge Two commences on Sunday, 1st June and ends on Thursday, 31st July, while Challenge Three runs from Friday, 1st August, until Tuesday, 30th September. The fourth and final Challenge starts on Wednesday, 1st October, and finishes on Sunday, 14th December.
Horses selected for the 2008 Godolphin Seven Stars 2008 earn points between 29th March and 14th December.
