Competition Rules

  1. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these competition rules. All entry instructions given are deemed to form part of the competition rules.
  2. Entrants must be aged 18 or over prior to Saturday, 29th March 2008.
  3. The competition is not open to employees of Godolphin or their families, its advertising or promotion agencies, or any other company directly connected with the administration of this competition.
  4. All entries must be received on the Godolphin website (www.godolphin.com) between 09.00hrs Dubai time on Saturday, 1st March 2008 and 23.59hrs Dubai time on Friday, 28th March 2008. Any entries received before or after these dates and times will not be accepted.

The competition begins on Saturday, 29th March 2008 (Dubai World Cup) and concludes on Sunday, 14th December 2008 (Hong Kong International Races).
  5. All entries must be submitted online at www.godolphin.com.
  6. Competition rules stipulate that only one entry per person will be accepted. The organisers may, at their sole discretion, disregard multiple entries, which they know or suspect to be submitted by the same entrant.
  7. Changes to the selection of horses is permitted during the three respective swap windows, however, the rules do not allow for changes to be made to the original entry of 14 horses.
  8. Godolphin accepts no responsibility for ineligible, early, late, lost or misdirected entries.
  9. The organisers cannot be held responsible for the performance of horses that are selected by the computer in relation to the Lucky Dip option.
  10. Horses that are selected by entrants may retire, be transferred from Godolphin or sustain injury. The names of unraced horses may change. In all cases, it will be the horse with the breeding stipulated at the time of the entry that will count for the purposes of the competition.

The organisers cannot be responsible for the performance or non-performances of any horses. In the event of a Godolphin horse being disqualified due to any technicality all points awarded to the Godolphin horse for that race will be deducted. If a Godolphin horse is promoted to the first three due to the disqualification of a runner then the relevant points for that race will be awarded to the Godolphin horse. Any changes to official race results made following the closing date of the competition will not count for the purposes of the competition.
  11. Godolphin horses earn points by finishing first, second, or third in races that they contest while they remain in the ownership of Godolphin and are trained by Saeed bin Suroor.
  12. If the entrant chooses the Select Your Seven Stars option, he/she will be allowed to select two horses from each of the seven barns for use within the Seven Stars Competition, which is a total of 14 horses. These horses must be selected when submitting their entry to the competition between Saturday, 1st March 2008 (09.00hrs Dubai time) and Friday, 28th March 2008 (23.59hrs Dubai time). Entrants must have any seven horses from his/her original 14 in their active stable at any one time. If a user registers and enters under the Select Your Seven Stars option this is non-transferable to a Lucky Dip option.
  13. If the entrant chooses to select the Lucky Dip option, fourteen horses will be randomly selected for them. This will be on a two horses per barn basis. The computer will then randomly select 7 of those horses to make up the users active stable. These horses will form the basis of the selection for the first phase of the competition. During the subsequent swap windows, the user will have the option to keep their original horses, manually change the horses in their stable or select a new Lucky Dip – still from their original 14.

If a user registers and enters under the Lucky Dip option this is non-transferable to a Select Your Seven Stars option and the horses selected under Lucky Dip are non-changeable.
