Emirates is one of Dubai's great success stories, and Godolphin is proud to be sponsored by the multi award-winning airline.
The growth of Emirates has been nothing short of astonishing. Established in 1985 with two leased aircraft, it now boasts a fleet of nearly 100 modern aircraft and has placed orders for a further 246 aircraft with a valuation of an amazing $60 billion.
Emirates doubled in size every 3.5 years in the first decade of its existence and now doubles in size at a more leisurely pace of once every four years! In 2005-2006, the airline carried 14.5 million passengers and one million tonnes of cargo. Its total revenues were Dhs24.2 billion (US$6.6 billion).
Now flying to 90 destinations in 60 countries, Emirates has always prided itself on offering the highest possible standards of customer service. Its success in this area has been recognised with more than 300 international awards for excellence.
Godolphin and Emirates make a perfect partnership. Both are united in bringing Dubai to the world, while also welcoming the world to Dubai.

Wherever Godolphin wins races - and the stable has enjoyed Group 1 victories in 11 countries - the success is shared with the airline. The bold 'Fly Emirates' logo is displayed proudly on the famous all-blue silks as well as on staff clothing, horse blankets and other materials.
In addition, a number of Godolphin's horses have been named after the airline or its associated activities. Skywards, named after the Emirates frequent flyer programme, was a winner in 2004 while other horses to win in recent years have been Emirates Gold, Emirates Skyline, Emirates First, Emirates Line and Emirates To Dubai.
Apart from Godolphin, Emirates has a number of other prestigious racing sponsorships. The airline is the official sponsor of the world's richest race, the US$6 million Dubai World Cup at Nad Al Sheba, a race Godolphin has won five times. It also supports Australia's most famous race, the Emirates Melbourne Cup, known universally as 'the race that stops a nation' and is a headline sponsor at the Breeders' Cup in America.
Emirates, the biggest sponsor in world sport, is involved in a variety of top sponsorships outside horseracing. It was one of the flagship sponsors for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany and sponsors English Premiership side Arsenal and its new home – Emirates Stadium. Emirates sponsors the elite panel of international cricket umpires and is the official airline of the successful Australian cricket team. It also backs a host of other prestigious sporting events.
Emirates is all about excellence. Its standards are second to none. That is why it has a policy of only sponsoring the best teams and the best events. And perhaps that also helps to explain why Godolphin has forged such a strong relationship with Emirates.
